La Centomiglia
The first Regatta of the Centomiglia del Garda took place the 8th and 9th September 1951. Sailing boats belonging to different classes (Libera, Cruising, Monotype, Prototype e Multihulls) may enter the regatta. The sailing event has become an historical meeting among some of the most important sailors; some yacht owners build up special yachts to take part in the race. It is a whole-lake Regatta, starting from Bogliaco, up to Torbole, down to Desenzano and return to Bogliaco. There are two different courses according to the length and to the different type of boats (almost 300 boats) which take part in the race. Two more courses, with start from Toscolano Maderno, are sailed by the fast Multihulls. This year the Multicento Regatta belong to the M2 European Tour (Multihulls)
Il Trofeo Gorla
The Trofeo Gorla takes place on Sunday, one week before the Centomiglia. Boats belonging to different classes (Libera, Cruising, Monotype, Prototype e Multihulls) may enter the regatta.While the Centomiglia is sailed up and down the whole lake, the Trofeo Gorla is only sailed in the north part of the Lake, starting from Bogliaco.Unique course for all classes of boats. Course marks: Bogliaco (start) – Campione del Garda – Torbole – Acquafresca – Bogliaco (arrival)
